Filipino star named as brand ambassador and will represent company throughout Asia

1xBet has announced that talented young Filipino professional basketball player Kai Sotto is its new brand ambassador for Asia.

Kai Sotto, who hopes to make it as a player in the NBA, has already played in North America on an invitational basis in the 2023 NBA Summer League for Orlando Magic.

The 21-year-old also recently represented the Philippines at the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

A 1xBet spokesperson said of the sponsorship deal: We are pleased to become a partner of one of the most promising players in Asia at the very beginning of his great path."

The Yokohama B-Corsairs star will will represent 1xBet in the Philippines and across Asia, including in Japan, China, Indonesia and Thailand.

1xBet said the agreement was part of the brand’s “global strategy to support sports in Southeast Asia and will help increase brand awareness in the region".

Mr Sotto was quoted as saying the brand had given attention to “supporting youth and regional sports," adding: "as an ambassador, I will be able to extend my platform to help Philippine basketball at home and abroad."
