Even though they were tagged underdogs in both duels, Monza caused a lot of troubles to Juventus in the previous season, beating them 1-0 and 2-1.

Monza is once again having a decent campaign in Serie A, currently sitting in 9th place after 13 rounds with 18 points.

Their recent form includes three draws against Udinese 1-1, Torino 1-1 and Cagliari 1-1, and a 3-1 victory against Verona.

The top-performing player so far is Italian midfielder Andrea Colpani who scored six goals and registered one assist in his thirteen league appearances.

Samuele Vignato, Armando Izzo and Gianluca Caprari are injured and won’t be available on Friday, while Papu Gomez is suspended.

Juventus

Juventus had a great start in last weekend’s derby match against Inter Milan with Dusan Vlahovic opening the scoring in the first half. They conceded six minutes after that though and the final result was 1-1.

The Old Lady is sitting in high 2nd place on the Serie A table at the moment. They collected 30 points through 13 matches, and overall are regarded as serious title contenders.

One of Juventus’ biggest advantages here is good fitness as they don’t participate in European competitions this season.

Recent results on the road have been great, including narrow 1-0 victories against AC Milan and Fiorentina, while the duel against Atalanta ended without goals.

Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic is topping the team’s charts with five goals in his eleven Serie A appearances. He also registered one assist. Federico Chiesa is slightly behind with four goals and one assist.

Massimiliano Allegri won’t be able to count on injured Timothy Weah and Mattia De Sciglio, while Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli are suspended.
